Examine the foundation sciences of acoustics, psychoacoustics, anatomy, and physiology that underpin the practice of clinical audiology.
AUDL7113 is an introductory course within the Master of Audiology Studies program. It uses lectures, practicals and problem-based learning exercises to provide students with foundational knowledge of acoustics and psychoacoustics, as well as anatomy, physiology, and disorders related to hearing, balance, speech and language, and cognition in humans. AUDL7113 compliments other audiology courses in semester one, year one, namely AUDL7111 (Clinical Audiology I) and AUDL7112 (Professional Practice in Audiology I).

To complete the practical report, students will:
1. Open the AUDL7113 Course Blackboard site.
2. Go to Assessment\Practical report.
3. Open the practical report.
4. Read the questions.
5. Answer the questions in the answer boxes provided.
The practical report will open at 0800 on the Tuesday following the practical & will close at 1600 on the Friday following the practical. Students may only complete the online test once during this 4-day window.

It is strongly recommended that students complete the following steps before completing the practical report:
1. Review all information presented in the practical manual.
2. Review any personal notes taken during the practical.
3. Review the relevant sections of the acoustics lecture notes.
4. Review how to use your scientific calculator.
