Task description
IPCP Modules 1-3 Assessment Task Description
This is a progressive assessment across the three modules and is a team assignment with all members of the team receiving the same mark. All team members are expected to contribute equally to the assignment.
You will be assigned into teams in your first tutorial.
All three parts will be submitted together as the final assessment for the modules.
Only one group member needs to submit the three parts of the assessment on behalf of the group. We recommend that this is the same group member for all three parts.
Tutors will also provide structured feedback based on assessment standards and criteria (see attached rubric).
Please click on your Tutorial number in the submission links folder on BlackBoard to access your assignment submission link. The links are tailored to each tutorial group, so you should only be able to submit to the correct link.
The three parts to your assessment are detailed below:
Part 1 Defining Roles within the Interprofessional Team (Worksheet) (50 marks)
Watch Part 1 of your team’s chosen client interview, taking notes on the client, their case, and the healthcare professionals involved.
Using the PowerPoint template worksheet provided in the assessment tab on Learn.UQ, we would like you to complete the template as follows:
• Outline the factors of your client’s case (replacing example text in red). For each set of factors, examples have been provided for consideration, but please keep in mind these lists are not exhaustive and not all elements are applicable to each client case. For example, you could replace mental health with “low mood,” “depression,” or “anxiety.”
• List all the professions identified in the case video under Healthcare Team Members,1 Identified in the video replacing the red text. Of those professions, identified in the video, outline who would be involved for each set of factors and add them to the template under Healthcare disciplines involved.
• If you identify any gaps in your client’s care, list the healthcare team members who are not mentioned in the video but who should be involved under Healthcare Team Members 2. Gaps in client’s care replacing the red text.
Part 2 Managing Barriers to Interprofessional Communication and teamworking (Video) (30 marks)
Watch Part 2 and Part 3 of your team’s chosen client interview, taking notes on the client outcomes so far, the interactions within the interprofessional team, barriers to communication and what contributed to or detracted from client-centred care.
In your team, film a video (3 mins) identifying three areas where the interprofessional team in your chosen case functioned poorly and recommend processes that the team should adopt in the ongoing management of this client (Each team member must speak in the video). The video is 3 minutes in duration.
Part 3 Interprofessional teams contributing to client-centred care (20 marks)
From watching part 2 and part 3 of your chosen client video, describe how client centred care was demonstrated by the team and how it could be improved. (300 words max)

Submission: Online submission via Blackboard
The IPCP module is a Pass/Fail assessment task. Students who pass the module will receive a course grade based on the remaining assessment in the course.
• For students who engage with the module, participate in the group work and submit a genuine attempt but do not achieve a pass grade for their submitted work, there will be given a second opportunity to pass the module by completing a reflective essay. If this is task is successfully completed, a grade will be awarded based on the remaining assessment in the course.
• Students who do not engage with the module, fail to participate in the group work, or do not submit a genuine attempt, will be given an opportunity to complete a 5,000 word assignment on teamwork. Successful completion of this assignment will enable students to be eligible to pass the course with a maximum grade of 4 (if the remaining assessment in the course would result in a grade higher than 4, a maximum grade of 4 will be awarded).
• Students who fail the module who do not complete either the reflective essay nor the teamwork assignment will be awarded a maximum grade of 3 (if the remaining assessment in the course would result in a grade higher than 3, a maximum grade of 3 will be awarded).
