Innovation matters to everyone, including managers in small or large organisations, start-up entrepreneurs, those in government roles, or teachers. This course looks at how individuals and organisations use creativity and design thinking skills to identify and choose opportunities that enable innovation. Creative problem solving skills are developed and enhanced through a range of real world activities. An overview of design thinking tools is provided to help students understand design thinking as a problem solving approach. Ideas developed through these processes are then applied to a customer discovery approach to understand their value in the market place.

This course will provide you with a state-of-the-art toolkit to innovate faster, more flexible, and more customer-driven. You will gain an in-depth understanding of creativity and design thinking, both in theory and practice, with emphasis on the latter. During the course you will learn design thinking principles to develop creative solutions for what customers really value. You will apply the learned skills in a real customer discovery project in collaboration with ourᅠcorporate partner, design agency Liquid Interactive. The course will enhance your ability to increase value-added creativity at individual-, team- and organisation-level.

This course contains a strong Work-Integrated Learning component which will enhance your employability skills, thanks to the course's partnership with Liquid Interactive:ᅠhttps://www.liquidinteractive.com.au/
