This course involves collaborating with employers/networks to identify and complete an appropriate, relevant and useful industry project. The project will build on the content covered throughout the Master of Finance and Investment Management program to enable students to demonstrate their comprehensive understanding of the financial risk and investment management process.

Aims and outcomes
This course aims to bring together the learnings that the student has had throughout the program in a way that allows them to collaborate with employers/networks to bring significant insight into a large-scale project. Students will have the opportunity to apply their knowledge in a real-world context, whether through their own employer, a UQ nominated project, or an industry partner of the university.
Learning outcomes
After successfully completing this course you should be able to:
LO1.
Lead all phases of an applied research project with high level analytical and robust technical skills incorporating considerations of advances in technology wherever appropriate.
LO2.
Pitch a solution with consideration of stakeholder expectations to achieve a successful outcome to facilitate investments and other initiatives.
LO3.
Reflect on Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples' knowledge systems, perspectives, pedagogies and ways of doing through storytelling when pitching.
LO4.
Reflect on the project with an emphasis on the plan management and efficacy.

Task description
This assessment is a written document in which students are required to provide a plan of the project they will work on for the remainder of the semester. Full details are available on Blackboard.
This assessment task evaluates students' abilities, skills and knowledge without the aid of generative Artificial Intelligence (AI). Students are advised that the use of AI technologies to develop responses is strictly prohibited and may constitute student misconduct under the Student Code of Conduct.

The maximum extension allowed is 7 days. Extensions are given in multiples of 24 hours.
Because this assessment is linked pedagogically to all other assessments in this course and feedback is key to progression to subsequent assessment tasks, extensions will be limited to no more than 7 calendar days.
Late submission
