This course builds on the knowledge and skills gained in IMED7010. You will gain a sound knowledge of advanced medical and surgical skin cancer treatments with a focus on different options for specific types of skin cancers. Pre-cancerous lesions and the management of wound complications are also studied. You will reinforce your knowledge with case based assignments.
Once a clinical diagnosis or differential diagnosis has been reached, the next step is to manage the lesion. This course covers some of the diagnostic and therapeutic interventions used in skin cancer medicine. It also considers the environment you are working in, and the management of the patient as well as the management of the lesion. This course builds on IMED7010, and is more disease specific than treatment specific.
