Students will learn the Korean alphabet, elementary vocabulary, sentence structure, and grammar as applied in modern Korean society through speaking activities, listening comprehension exercises, and conversational practice. The course also incorporates relevant cultural insights to enhance language use in professional and social interactions.

| Grade | Cut off Percent | Description |
|---|---|---|
| 1 (Low Fail) | 0 - 24 |

Course grade description: The student occasionally uses effective communication strategies and understands written and spoken Korean well when vocabulary and structures that are introduced in the course are used. The student uses comprehensible pronunciation and generally responds fluently and appropriately.
