The aim of this course is to examine coaching practice from a multidimensional perspective to promote inquiring, critical and innovative approaches to professional practice. Students will examine specific case studies from multidisciplinary perspectives, including psychological, sociological and pedagogical disciplinary knowledge to inform the design and implementation of a comprehensive plan of action. Students will be required to integrate theory and research to inform and justify design and subsequent practice.
Students will examine case studies in sport coaching from ᅠa variety of thematic and theoretical orientations. Case Studies in Sport Coaching (SPCG7029) is completed over one semester and while the format of the final submission may be negotiated, it will typically take the form of a written case study.
